Here are some of our favorite photos of past events.
Sadly, it is not always safe to be identified publicly as a non-believer. We do not photograph many of our events, because of privacy issues, and some photos have been edited to protect a member’s identity.
2019 Events
- Our Outreach booth is set up at the Morden Corn and Apple Festival again this year.
- Business was steady when the weather was good.
- Thanks to all of our booth volunteers. Unfortunately, some of our members cannot appear in photos.
- There are always interesting conversations at the booth.
2018 Events
- Our Solstice Party was a big success in its new location at Kildonan Park
- Lots of space under this canopy, but the sun shone for us!
- Members of the Eastman Humanist Community assisted with the Steinbach Outreach this year
- Summer in the City (Steinbach). There's never a shortage of interesting conversations at the booth
- All set up for our first Outreach at Stonewall Quarry Days
- Outreach at the Morden Corn and Apple Festival is always busy
- Tinfoil hats for the presentation on pseudoscience!
2017 Events
- Our first brunch at the Forks was a huge success!
- In February, we celebrated Darwin Day with birthday cake
- A few brave HAAM members braved the spring snow to participate in the March for Science at the Manitoba Legislature
- Our Outreach booth in Steinbach in June. The new "HUMANISTS: GOOD without god(s)" banner was a big hit!
- Our rained out Summer Solstice party became a July barbecue
- On the rain date it rained again! Thankfully the rain let up just before we got there
- Historian Richard Carrier was our special guest speaker on his summer Canadian tour
- Our booth at the Morden Corn and Apple Festival is open for business
- A steady stream of visitors came and went all weekend
- We had some great costumes at our October meeting
- Some of our members went to the dark side
- At year end, thanks to generous donors, HAAM was able to donate 100 new blankets (from Ikea) to the Main Street Project
- Buffet table at our Winter Solstice party
- It was a great evening
- We had as many as 4 tables of board games going after dinner
2016 Events
- Our Outreach Booth at the U of M in January
- We were proud to participate in the Winnipeg Pride Parade
- Our Outreach booth at the Summer in the City Festival in Steinbach.
- Some interesting discussions took place there
- Outreach was a family affair for some of our members
- Conversations continued well into the evening.
- Great turnout for our Summer Solstice party and BBQ
- Our Harmonizing Humanists entertained
- We tried to get everyone together for a group photo
- Our Outreach at the Morden Corn and Apple Festival sparked some interesting discussions and debates.
